Target group:
Anyone interested in youth housing, support & services, empowering young people to independent living & innovations in housing services.

Event description:
During this site visit you get a chance to explore modern youth housing matched with agile support and services for varying needs of young people. Youth apartments are designed to match the needs of young people in size, equipment & location and together with services support the start of independent living.

We share how we offer three levels of support in the buildings where youngsters live: building tutorresidential instructor and floating housing service. Building tutor, is one of the tenants living in the building and working part-time for the welfare of neighbors and community. Residential instructor is regularly available on site and helps tenants with matters ranging from coaching independent life-skills (e.g. how to use the laundry room) to solving problems with paying rent. Floating support is provided for tenants with need for more active personal support e.g. clients with background in child welfare services (for instance in institutional care) or homelessness.

Building is situated in Sompasaari, one of the newest areas in Helsinki, just by the sea.

Starting point address: Kaljaasi Auroran kuja 3, 00540, Helsinki
